Accelerating Writing Years 7-10

A high-impact professional learning workshop equipping NZ teachers with research-proven approaches to rapidly accelerate student writing progress. Based on the science of learning, this condensed session delivers the most essential strategies for immediate classroom implementation. Participants will gain practical tools to scaffold different writing types across the curriculum, creating pathways for accelerated growth in academic writing. Leave with ready-to-use strategies aligned with NZ curriculum standards.

Elena Ciobanu is a distinguished educator with extensive experience facilitating PLD for hundreds of educators in evidence-based Structured Literacy. Her qualifications include a BEd, MEdDevPsych, and a SPELDNZ Teaching Certificate, with ongoing doctoral studies in effective PLD.

Structured Literacy for Secondary

This half day course series provides insights from the Science of Learning about how the brain learns best with particular emphasis on the developmental needs of adolescents. The course is designed specifically for high school teachers.

It provides an introduction to strategies based on principles of effective instruction and challenges you to begin to implement meaningful changes to support effective literacy instruction.
