Dr. Craig Hansen

Dr Craig Hansen has led professional development for teachers for over 20 years. He is widely recognised as Aotearoa New Zealand’s leading AI training for educators. He is the Founder & Director of Summit Institute NZ, an accredited private training provider offering flexible pathways to national qualifications (including NZQA’s only accredited micro-credential in AI for teachers) and the  University of Applied Research & Development (USA/UK), a globally-focused higher learning organization with bachelor and masters degrees in education, business, health & safety, emergency management, and leadership. Craig has lived and worked internationally, establishing industry-education pathways and partnerships that hold accreditation in NZ, UK and USA.

Padma Krishnan

Padma Krishnan is a skilled Numeracy Facilitator with extensive experience supporting schools to enhance mathematics teaching and improve student achievement. She has worked across Auckland through initiatives like Team Solutions and ALiM, and currently leads maths at Southern Cross Campus (Years 1–13). Padma delivers targeted professional development, mentors teachers, and builds strong partnerships with whānau. With a deep understanding of curriculum, assessment, and culturally responsive practice, she empowers educators to create engaging, equitable learning environments. An accredited coach, Padma is known for her practical approach, collaborative style, and unwavering commitment to student success.

Dr. Jo Knox

Dr Jo Knox is an accredited and highly experienced mathematics education consultant with over 30 years in primary education as a classroom teacher, facilitator, and researcher. She holds a PhD in Mathematics Education and has presented at national and international conferences, with publications in leading journals and proceedings. Jo received the 2021 Margaret Morton Memorial Prize for outstanding women in mathematics. Her work includes delivering PLD in New Zealand, Australia, and the USA, developing curriculum and professional learning materials for the Solomon Islands and Tokelau, and empowering teachers to make mathematics accessible for all learners.

Marie Hirst

Marie is an accredited education consultant with over 25 years of experience delivering research-informed, engaging, and practical mathematics professional learning for immediate classroom application. She works collaboratively with teachers and leadership teams in Years 0–8 to strengthen balanced mathematics programmes and has earned a strong reputation for her expertise and approachable manner. Marie specialises in developing mathematical content knowledge, effective pedagogy, assessment, and intervention strategies to accelerate learning. Her work includes in-class modelling, coaching, mentoring, and facilitating workshops nationally and internationally. She has presented at NZAMT, PMA, MERGA, and MAV and authored mathematics resources for teachers.
